How long have you been kitesurfing? Ask stu we taught each other. 7 at a guess Seen it first at a windsurf competition when they used to come to Allonby (mecca local windy place) must have been 10 years ago . Thought got to do that!!! A few years later got a kite yeah we can do that!!! (me and stu) how wrong we were!!!! No instructors then , borrowed a kite from pat at uk airsports a wipikka 3m 2 liner ,got my wakeboard and me and stu went to alonby . what a pantomime but we are both still hear to tell the tale…but we were bitten big time Bought a 12m airush flow from pat and he loaned us a 7ft naish skypirate (more like a sea kayak) boy those fins could whistle when you were lit , set the lines up wrong and got spanked big time , don’t try this at home kids. But we had a great laugh learning. Thanks stu!!!! Always wanted to surf but too much travelling for decent waves, started wakeboarding but hardly got any flat water sea days, but when kitesurfing came along it was a water sport I could do on local beaches in moderate winds, I was hooked!!!! Tiree will take some beating!!! Tiree,Fuerteventura,local beaches Western Australia, Barbados,Maldives 20,25 MPH se cross shore wind at local beach stbees waves to die for sunshine and shared it all with jenky the windsurfer jumping big licks over him. Then went to work backshift buzzing my tits off!!!!!!! Mark shinn and Robbie naish firstly doing what they love then making a living out of it, and lou waiman, man he was ripping it years ago on old , primitive kit, he’s da man!!!! Basically changed my life took over it my wife says. Love the elements wind an water combine them both for a sport that I never get bored of and can never get enough off…Errr right now its windy and when the rain passes im off to the beach. Don’t do tricks leave that to the kids, my body dosent bend any more it breaks, big air and waves are smile time!!!!! Wives give up if its windy im gone……. Mountain bike , snowboard, snowkite A few near misses but I think ive been lucky no accidents as yet , been listening to my 16 year old sons ipod lately prodigy,chemical brothers and pendulum brings the most out of my new speakers in the van What is you favourite food?
